Nitrous Oxide Nitrous oxide (N2O) is
a colorless non-flammable gas, with a pleasant, slightly sweet odor. It is
commonly known as laughing gas due to the exhilarating effects of inhaling it,
and because it can cause spontaneous laughter in some users.
Nitrous oxide was first synthesized
in 1775 by Joseph Priestly, while insufficiently strong for surgery, it was
ideal for the lesser pain of dentistry for its anesthetic and analgesic effects.
Aneka Gas supplies nitrous oxide from its plant in Surabaya - East Java.
